Willamette West Habitat for Humanity is in search of energetic, hard-working, passionate volunteers who are interested in giving families a hand up by leading groups of daily volunteers through orientation. Volunteer Greeter play an integral role on Willamette West Habitat’s build sites by serving as an ambassador for the organization. By committing a steady donation of time and effort to Habitat’s mission to eliminate unaffordable housing, these volunteers are able to learn new skills, make new friends, and get a behind-the-scenes view of our construction program. While no prior construction experience is needed, an VG must have passion and enthusiasm for Willamette West Habitat’s mission, possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability, or willingness to speak in front of groups. All VG's go through a thorough training process until they feel comfortable enough to lead volunteers through a construction-related task.

Our VG's lead volunteers out at our current construction site, Denney Gardens, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The time commitment for this volunteer is a minimum of one shift per week (one 8-hour day), for a minimum of 6 months.
