Madison Park Academy will be hosting Challenge Day (an anti-bullying school program to encourage connection and openness between students, staff and the community) on Tuesday February 6th! Challenge Day is an amazing experience for both students and adults
We are in need of 25-30 total adult volunteers to assist our students during this day and would love it if you could join us.Adult Participants are required to be present from 8 AM - 3:30 PM on Tuesday February 6th. Our students count on Adults to help facilitate the day (no prior experience necessary) and the more adults we can recruit means more students who feel supported and seen at Madison.
Here is the schedule for the day:
8:00 am - 8:30 am - Participating adults arrive to the gym
8:40 am - 8:45 am - Students are lead to the gym
9:00 am -3:00 pm - Students participate in Challenge Day
3:00 pm -3:30 pm - Adult participant debrief

The Oakland Public Education Fund leads the development and investment of community resources in Oakland public schools so that all students can learn, grow, and thrive.
Description
The Ed Fund is the only organization raising money for all Oakland public schools. Since 2003, we have raised more than $50 million for programs that help students thrive. We put the right tools in students’ hands to give all kids the excellent education they deserve.
We support all Oakland public schools-both District-run and charter-with a focus on those furthest from opportunity, because kids who come to school with less need more.
The Ed Fund builds partnerships that make our schools stronger. Whether it’s finding a funder for a big District project or a bringing a group of volunteers to a school to read with kids, we are committed to connecting the wider community to our public schools. Put simply, we feel our public schools are better when we all work together.
