Nonviolence International (NI) is a decentralized network of resource centers that promotes the use of nonviolent action and seeks to reduce the use of violence worldwide. We believe that every cultural and religious tradition that we work with can discover and employ culturally appropriate nonviolent methods for positive social change and international peace. Our new New York City office will be focusing on the United Nations, where we hope to be involved in strengthening the influence of civil society and the application of international human rights and humanitarian law. We will also be involved in the effort to overcome forces seeking to isolate and stimatize the UN.
Our offices around the world, and at the UN, seek to accomplish their mission through building coalitions both locally (including empowering grassroots efforts), and with international organizations. We can then bring to our partners a wide array of techniques and technologies to help develop nonviolent solutions.
We'll work with your schedule.
