Volunteer Program Intern
Gain invaluable experience and skills in volunteer and non-profit program management while working with an amazing community
Number of Positions: 1
Term: Six to 12 months
Frequency: 10-15 hours per week
Position Hours: Monday - Friday 9 - 5 P.M.
Requirements: Strong writing skills, comfort with public speaking and with Microsoft office suite (word, excel). Ability to function responsively in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment and support in the empowerment of our clients and promotion of equity within our community
Minimum Age Requirement: 18
Duration Requirement: 6-12 months
Under the direct supervision of the Volunteer Program Manager, the Volunteer Program Intern will support processes and tasks involved in ACRS’ Volunteer Program. Responsibilities include assisting with the recruitment, screening, placement, orientation, training, recognition and tracking of volunteers. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a willingness to present in front of groups and a passion for volunteerism and ACRS’ mission. Want to learn more? Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization offering a broad array of human services and behavioral health programs to Asian Pacific Americans in King County. ACRS is the largest multiservice organization serving all the different Asian Pacific American communities - immigrants, refugees and American born - in the Pacific Northwest.
