About

Caris volunteers provide an array of services in Washington, Carter, Sullivan, and Johnson Counties in Northeast Tennessee. Caris volunteers serve patients and families in homes and facilities. Each action makes a difference and no amount of assistance is too small.

Patient Care volunteers provide companionship with patients by reading, singing, praying, playing games, writing letters, scrapbooking, mowing yards, and running errands.

Administrative volunteers serve on behalf of the hospice. Administrative tasks may include filing, answering the phones, writing cards, planning special events such as memorial services, and representing the organization at community events.

Special Project volunteers give of their gifts, skills and resources. Preparing family meals for hospice families, sewing/crocheting/knitting blankets, pillows and other comfort items, and other specialty projects are just a few examples.

Veteran volunteers could mean veteran-to-veterans or volunteering by those who want to honor our veterans and ensure that no veteran dies alone. Caris Healthcare is proud to participate in the We Honor Veterans program.
