Intern is responsible for supporting the creation, development and implementation of outreach strategies for the organization. Creates and revises initiatives, develops policies and guidelines, with HR recruits and trains Core Team members, with Fundraising Coordinator raises funds, and ensures compliance with funding guidelines and government relations.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Devise and supervise outreach.
  • Help plan and launch fundraising events to support outreach.
  • With Program Directors prepares outreach budgets and ensure the budget line item is adhered to throughout the fiscal year.
  • Reach out to the community for volunteers and support.
  • Contribute to writing grant proposals for program funds.
  • Coordinate w/Program Directors all outreach for the program.
  • With Program Director supervise, recruit, and train Core Team members.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and results of the outreach program and plan adjustments.
  • Help prepare impact reports with statistical data for outreach initiatives and programs
  • Ensure compliance with all funding guidelines and government regulations.
  • Attend community events to represent program.

This can be a remote/virtual position however, the preferred candidate will live/work in the Chicagoland area.

For over two decades AWOFINC has addressed the critical educational, financial, and social needs of the families in Illinois.
