Mentoring position to Small Businesses in the area
SCORE is national volunteer organization with chapters all over the US. It is funded by the federal Small Business Association. The Ulster chapter helps local small businesses grow and prosper.

The time commitment for this is very open. Work schedules vary based on the volunteer's availability and the needs at the time. This position will be long term, not just a few weeks.

Our growing need is for more mentors to assist with minority owned businesses. These minorities like working with mentors who are also minorities. Minorities are the fastest growing segment of the small business world. They are dedicated and anxious to get help to start and grow their businesses.

These are the needs for volunteers to fulfill this position for the Ulster Chapter.
1. Expertise in law, insurance, non-profits, accounting, banking, restaurants, small business, etc.
2. Be willing to share your expertise with Small Business owners to start and grow a business
3. Be willing to be challenged and learn.
4. Be willing to reach out to others for their expertise when needed.
5. Be willing to be active in the local chapter through meetings, mentoring and some administrative activities
