The Pretty In Pink Foundation is looking for a long-term volunteer who will support the Patient Services Manager in operating our Beyond the Ribbon Program. This program provides bras, prothesis, wigs, and other post-surgical items to those that need them. Additionally, the program provides Comfort Care Totes-filled with donated and handmade items-to breast cancer patients as they undergo their treatment journey.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Keep an updated inventory of products
  • Solicit donations of products based on inventory
  • Maintain accurate records of product distribution
  • Respond to inquiries about product donations in a timely manner
  • Deliver mailings to UPS
  • Assemble Comfort Care Bags, as needed
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure successful product distribution events
  • Assist in developing new and creative ways to distribute products and expand program reach

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • This role is intended to be ongoing and requires in-office work at our Raleigh office
  • Computer proficiency
  • Drivers license
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • This is an unpaid, volunteer position

Description

Pretty In Pink Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in North Carolina. When breast cancer is present and insurance is not Pretty In Pink Foundation is here to help. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify to pay for surgery, chemotherapy administration, radiation therapy, office co-pays, COBRA, and insurance premiums.
Beyond the Ribbon services include prosthetic units, pre and post surgery bras, wigs, comfort bags, community resource connections and more.
