The Infusion & Wound Care Volunteer opportunity provides Pre-Medicine, Pre-Physician Assistant, & Pre-Nursing students with the ability to gain hands-on experience and hours within the rural, often fast-paced, Infusion & Wound Care setting. As an I & W volunteer, you would be expected to greet and interact with patients in the lobby, assist the I & W staff with rooming patients, clean and sterilize patient rooms upon discharge, transport labs to the onsite outpatient laboratory, assist with stocking medical supplies, aide the techs and nurses as needed, and provide clerical/scheduling assistance. The position requires a level of dedication, a willingness to help improve the health of the community, and dependability. The opportunity allows the student to gain exceptional experience and exposure to the clinical setting of Infusion & Wound Care.
