Position Title: Recreation Program Assistant - Volunteer
Minimum Age: 14
Reports To: Program Coordinator or Program Leader
Position Summary: ASDR offers a wider range of physical and social recreation opportunities including; arts, choir, walking programs, coffee socials, exercise programs, and knitting lessons. Role Responsibilities / Tasks
- Assist the Instructor in facilitating a program of your choice
- Meet, greet, and social with people who are living with dementia, care partners, volunteers, and other staff members
- Participate in scheduled programing and provide leadership and support to others
- Help to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for new and returning clients
- Help with the set up and take down process including the physical arrangement of the room as well as planning and preparing for activities
