Help Advertise for Free Tax Services
ORGANIZATION: Community Action Agency of Montgomery County
Please visit the new page to apply.
Help the VITA Program spread the word about free tax services. We can assist any Montgomery County resident that earns less than $54,000 annually. We have flyers that explain services during the summer, fall, and spring.
We need community members to hang flyers in local libraries, community centers, churches, and workplaces. This can be done anywhere in Montgomery County. All you need to do is stop by our office in Rockville, MD. CAA staff will explain the VITA Program and give you a small stack of flyers. Then you can distribute the flyers in your own community.
This is a great way to share information and advocate for financial capability one person at a time. Residents will see the flyer, then go online or call to make an appointment. Free tax returns allow individuals and families to get the refunds they deserve.
There is little commitment needed for this position and it is flexible with your schedule. You are welcome to volunteer with the VITA Program in other ways including greeting VITA clients and preparing tax returns. Volunteers must be 18 or older. Please contact Erica Bentley, the Volunteer Coordinator of CAA, for more information.
