ORGANIZATION: Sutter Care at Home

  • 3 people are interested

Sutter Care at Home is looking for kind and compassionate, credentialed therapeutic massage volunteers to share their gift with hospice patients in need.

As a hospice volunteer, you will be a member of the Sutter Care at Home Hospice team compassionately supporting the comfort and self-determination of patients in their dying time. No prior hospice experience necessary, but all massage therapy volunteers must hold current credentials for therapeutic massage.

Location:
We always welcome volunteers throughout the East Bay (from Hercules in the north to Union City in the South, and east to Livermore). Our greatest need for therapeutic massage volunteers is in our south service area (Hayward, San Leandro and south to Union City).

We honor our volunteer's geographic (and personal) preferences when securing patient assignments.

New Online Training Program:
We now provide flexible online hospice volunteer training that can be completed at home and serves to complement in-person orientation, as well as dynamic continuing education sessions (in-person or via telephone).

About Sutter Care at Home:
Sutter Care at Home is part of Sutter Health, one of California’s leading not-for-profit networks of hospitals and health care providers. We have been caring for patients in their homes since 1906 and founded one of the country’s first hospice programs.

Thank you for considering becoming a hospice volunteer and supporting others when they need it most.
