Marketing & Communications Intern

The Arc of Monroe is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to assist with their 2018-2019 marketing initiatives. The Arc of Monroe is a human services agency that provides housing, programs and services to people that have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc’s marketing campaign is designed to raise awareness for the agency through branding, advertising and community partnerships. This is the perfect opportunity to make your portfolio truly robust.

Location: 2060 Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road, Rochester, NY 14623

Intern Responsibilities:

 Community Engagement - Create content (written, photo, video) that market the agencies programs and services.

 Communication - Coordinate monthly e-newsletter for Arc employees.

 Photography and Videography - Develop stock photos and mission driven videos to tell our story. (Photo/ Video Equipment and Adobe software provided).

 Social Media - Research trending topics as they relate to the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Intern Qualities:

 Be comfortable working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

 Work closely with in-house Marketing and Communications team

 Reliable

 Initiative

 Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Intern Skills:

 Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (After Effects a plus)

 Photography and videography editing

 Professional communication

 Critical Thinking

 Creativity
