Help The Salvation Army support families who need assistance providing toys for their children this Christmas. Volunteers (12 yrs +) are needed to help set up and assist with various activities during the in-person distribution event. Toy Shop volunteers will help with a variety of tasks such as: checking in recipients, keeping inventory and stock of gifts, selecting gifts for families, and assisting in tracking numbers served. This opportunity will have both indoor and outdoor roles assigned during orientation at the start of your shift.
Dates: December 19- 21
Shifts: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m .
Location: CrossWinds Community Church: 9125 Newgate Ave N. Stillwater, MN 55082
This is a great group opportunity! We encourage each group member to register individually. For large groups or for groups where specific individuals are unknown, please call Sarah at 651-746-3426 to reserve your spots.
We will have a setup shift on Monday, December 18 from 1:00-4:00 pm

Description
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
