Warm up this winter at our brushpile burning event at Allemansrätt Wilderness Park, where invasive buckthorn is the fuel!
Volunteers will haul, stack, and burn piles of buckthorn bush from within this 125-acre city park that is home to high quality oak forest, wetlands, lakeshore, diverse wildlife, unique glacial geology, and several miles of trails.
You’re welcome to bring roasting sticks, hotdogs and marshmallows for roasting on the fires and buckets or chairs to sit on.
Open to all ages (recommended age 8+). Light breakfast snacks and hot drinks (coffee, cocoa, and cider) will be provided.
We are also looking Event Assistants and no experience is necessary. Please contact Katie Brom, Volunteer Events Manager, at kbrom@greatrivergreening.org or 651-272-3989 for more information.
