Siebenthal Elder Care Home works with all kinds of volunteers - from students to senior citizens. Volunteers help to organize activities that can include one or more of the following; Painting, Art Therapy, Exercises, Games, Arts & Crafts, knitting,sewing, Gardening, Baking, Cooking, Music therapy, Playing musical instruments or singing with and or for the residents. If you have any other Talents or Passions that you’d like to bring to our community or a skill that can be used to benefit the lives of our seniors, we’d like to hear from you. Siebenthal Elder Care Home is happy to welcome community groups, student organizations and seniors to share their talents and interests with our residents in various volunteer opportunities available at our community.

Our philosophy is to assist our residents health and lifestyle to their next best level through daily exercising, diet/clean eating . We believe Seniors deserve to live life to the fullest and to the best of their abilities. So we want to reach out and find programs that offer activities to help our residents experience joy and fun, to lighten up their day.
Description
We reteach daily living skills to residents so they feel valued and having a daily purpose in the community and have fun while doing it.This could include: daily normal domestic task/errands or join us in fun plan activities daily and weekly outside the home. We would incorporate activities that our new resident has enjoyed in the past or present. We get involved with community culture events so our residents stay connected to their heritage. We use pet therapy with the residents up to hospice level so they don't feel alone. We pair up residents with a buddy. All of these things combined can help residents improve mental and physical health so the can perform daily tasks and live and enjoy life at their best level.
