  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

This opportunity is for people with a big heart who want to help with our All Abilities Inclusion Ministry (AAIM), as we continue to grow our ministry that promotes and projects the rights of people with disabilities to participate within the church and local community. As a volunteer, you will be a part of a growing program at First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, that is a recognized leader nationally in integrating people with disabilities within the church community.
As a volunteer you will be trained to help children and/or teens with disabilities build confidence and friendships and to do so in a supportive, Christian environment. Volunteers may be working with persons with Autism, ADD, Asperger's, Down's Syndrome and other disabilities. We meet our kids where they are-physically and emotionally- to help them make positive choices, share their gifts, and feel included in the life of church.
