Groundwork Denver's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service returns, this time we'll be taking the energy outreach action to East Colfax! Join us, and the East Colfax Neighborhood Association, on Monday, January 15th, 2018, for a morning of door-to-door outreach, bulb swapping, and neighborly interaction! To bring about the sustained improvement of the environment and promote health and well-being through community based partnerships and action.
Description
We work with residents of Denver's lower income neighborhoods to improve the physical environment. We have three main program areas:
1. Building Sustainable Communities, which includes job training and environmental leadership development.
2. Brownfields and land transformations, which includes converting underutilized properties to new parks, trails and other public amenities.
3. Denver Climate Challenge which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
