The PlayHouse is home to a lot of fun toys for kids to play with....and sometimes destroy! In one of our exhibits, The Family Farm, we have a giant stuffed mama pig and her piglets. The pigs are made of naugahyde, a type of artificial leather. We are in need of a talented seamstress to help repair ripped ears, tails, etc. on our poor piggy friends.

The fundamental responsibilities of the Park District are:
*to provide Peoria area residents with opportunities for wholesome recreational activities, high quality facilities and a wide variety of programs to aid in satisfying diverse interests.
*conserve the natural resoursces of Peoria for the enjoyment of today's residents, as well as future generations. This includes restoration of natural and open spaces in older sections of the city.
*to be the guardian of a quality environment for Peoria area residents while encouraging the restoration, conservation, and preservation of aesthetic values in the community.
