White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf offers a Bonus Food Distribution each Saturday as a way for neighbors to supplement their once a month shopping as well as serve neighbors outside the White Bear School District. This important distribution will serve upwards of 125 households and utilize food rescued from local grocery stores. Bonus Saturday Volunteers will be assigned to one of several roles and tasked with helping the market maintain a welcome and inviting atmosphere as well as insure a smooth shopping process for our all our neighbors. At the end of the shift volunteers will help clean the market area for Monday Shopping.

The White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf has been providing food to our neighbors in need since 1977. We do this in close partnership with our community - with individuals, churches, schools, businesses, neighborhood associations and other community groups.
Description
The White Bear Area Food Shelf (WBAFS) has served as a critical resource for families struggling with food insecurity since 1977. Over the past four decades, we have grown and improved our traditional food shelf programming in addition to creating new and innovative services to better meet the needs of our neighbors.
