Bristol Hospice is a community leader in end-of-life care for patients and their families. We are currently looking for Volunteers who have furry friends for Pet Therapy. Therapy Pets only require a registration, not extensive training like a Service Animal. ( Therapy Dog Registration - USA Service Dogs)
You and your furry friends will visit with patients at home or in a facility (with COVID precautions and PPE). Patients miss the feel, the presence of animals. Just having them next to them to touch or watch brings relief and joy. Bristol Hospice is a hospice agency that allows patients to spend precious time with loved ones in the comfort of their own place of residence. Hospice care aims to provide physical, mental and emotional comfort and support to the patient and their family. We put the heart in hospice, and volunteers are a major part of the team.
