I'm looking for volunteers who want to be a part of our hospice team. Our company, Americans Hospice Care, is based out of Saginaw but we have opportunities in Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties. I'm looking for volunteers who want to be one on one with a hospice patient (companionship), or we have opportunities within the office. This is a perfect opportunity if you need volunteer hours for school or just love to help others. Volunteers will be providing companionship; helping with clerical activities such as mailing bereavement letters and shredding; leading group activities in senior communities; one on one patient visits; and helping during events. It's a very flexible schedule. Orientation is required but it's mostly hands on in the field training. We are located in Saginaw, MI but have oppurtunities within the Great lakes Bay Region. **During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are following the CDC guidelines set. Volunteers are able to be tested at our office weekly, along with wearing a mask and social distancing.
