About

The Science Olympiad is the premier Science competion for elementary through high school students in the nation. In 2017 over 950 teams participated in North Carolina where it all began. It starts with regional tournaments such as this High School tournament in Wilmington.

The top 3 teams overall and the top 2 teams in each event will advance to the State Championships in Raleigh. The top 2 teams will advance to the National Championships.

In order for our tournaments to continue to grow and not turn away teams we need more volunteers to help out at the regional tournaments. Volunteers can work all day or just an hour or two. We use Sign Up Genious so that you can pick what time and activity works best for you.

Opportunities range from running an event such as the hoover car challenge, assiting at an event, handing out medals, adding up the scores, setting up, cleaning up, selling souveniors etc..

You must be willing to work with students with a positive and encouraging attitude.
