ORGANIZATION: Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy

Team Leaders provide support and oversight during events. If you love restoring habitat and working with others, this program is for you! Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have gone to at least 2 volunteer events before attending the workshop. This training is held at the White Point Nature Center on Saturday March 31st from 9am to 12pm. Please come prepared to work outdoors with sturdy closed-toed shoes

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."

Description

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
