The Umlauf is a wonderful oasis of art and nature in South Austin. Every season shows off our art in a different way, allowing new perspective on the sculptures. Because the museum is unlike any other, our volunteer experience is just as special.
Gallery Instructors deliver education programs and interpret Museum exhibitions to the public. They provide an enjoyable and meaningful experience for k-12 students who visit the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum. Responsibilities include:
undergoing extensive training to lead tours & gallery instructional activities
interact with program participants in a positive and engaging manner
ensure that the mission of the UMLAUF is met
ensure program materials are properly handled and maintained
assist with the set-up and take down of public tours
