They say you can never have too many friends, and we believe that’s true. While we are not able to meet in person, we decided to host a gathering for friends of Valley Village. We also want to make new friends, so bring a friend, bring a drink and learn about Valley Village. We will discuss our upcoming holiday light drive thru event on December 22nd and can use a lot of volunteer help to prepare decorations, put goodie bags together, and make holiday cards for our group home clients. We will discuss these upcoming volunteer opportunities at the Friend Raiser. On Tuesday, December 1, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Valley Village will host a virtual Friend Raiser on Zoom.
What is a Friend Raiser?
A Friend Raiser is an event - in this case a virtual event on Zoom - where we can meet and personally tell you about Valley Village and the care we provide to people with developmental disabilities.
How much does it cost to attend Valley Village’s Friend Raiser?
There is no cost to attend. We do want you to invite a friend - or a few friends - because this is a chance for us to spread the word about Valley Village.
What will we talk about during the Friend Raiser?
We will talk about Valley Village, its mission and programs. A few of our friends will share why they enjoy their time volunteering with and supporting Valley Village. We will also share updates on what’s happening at Valley Village and how we are adapting during these challenging and unprecedented times.
Why is Valley Village hosting a Friend Raiser?
We want to get to know members of the community. We also want to share information with community members about Valley Village and let them know about the work we are doing.
How do I attend the Friend Raiser?
Send an email to info@valleyvillage.org or call us at 818.587.9450 ext. 131. Let us know you’d like to attend the Valley Village Friend Raiser on August 12 at 4 pm. Please tell us your name and email address, as well as the name and email address of your friend or friends who you are inviting. We will send a Zoom link the day before the event (Monday, November 30) to all who RSVP.
If you have questions, please call or email using the same contact info for RSVPs. We look forward to seeing you and to making new friends at the Valley Village Virtual Friend Raiser!
