Greetings!
Apollo Palliative Services is looking for Chinese speaking Volunteer/Intern(s) to assist with our Field RN staff in documentation, translation and to visit patients directly. This position would be ideal for anyone who is looking into the healthcare field. You will be working with a predominantly Chinese speaking RN who will need assistance with technology and software.
This individual will need to be available at least 3 days out of the week (may include weekends) for a period of 6 months.

Qualifications:
-Computer literate
-Able to navigate software
-bilingual/trilingual
-Is currently enrolled in college
-1 year experience working in a group setting

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.

Description

Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
