Can you tutor a student who needs extra attention to grasp the basics? One or both classes, one day per week, would give them a valuable boost. The choices are:
M T or W 8:30-9:30 am
Fractions, decimals , percents, units of measurement, 1-variable algebraic word problems.
M T W, or Th 9:30-10:30 am
Adding, subtracting, money, clocks, and other everyday number needs for ELL (ESL).

Help adults acquire the skills, and provide the support, to pursue education and employment goals.
Description
Minneapolis Adult Education provides free classes in ESL, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills, and transition to work and college. Classes are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We are part of Minneapolis Community Education, Minneapolis Public Schools.
Volunteers participate once an week, for an hour or more depending on the class. We ask for a commitment of 3 months. Service learning has a different minimum.
