ORGANIZATION: ChickTech

We are looking for a volunteer for the local chapter of ChickTech in Denver. This opportunity would be to put on a workshop around Arduinos (soft circuits) technology. Examples would be creating and programming interactive soft circuits using a provided object (handbag) or an item from home (hat, vest, or stuffed animal).

Our ideal leader will have some or all of the below:

  • Experience with hardware and Arduino technology
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to work in a collaborative style and move others to action by planning, motivating and organizing work tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that establish and maintain credibility and relationships
  • Event Planning experience

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and facilitate workshop for Arduino technology

The main objectives:

  1. Provide and oversee comprehensive documentation to help identify best practices and keep the events in line with the organization’s mission and philosophy.
  2. Be responsible for working with your team of ChickTechies to cover what you need to be successful.
  3. Create quality reports and presentations as needed.
  4. Attend ChickTech meetings and facilitate communication between leadership team members.

Time Commitment: 2 hour per week leading with a workshop weekend in January, 2018 that is 2 days.

As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
