Special Olympics NC is looking for someone that will be the primary contact for Unified Champion School (USC) activities in Pamlico County.
All Unified Champion Schools incorporates the inclusive/unified sports, youth leadership, and whole school engagement in a way that creates meaningful inclusion for students with intellectual disabilities in their school community.
As the local chair, you will identify schools that would like to participate in the UCS program. Administration approval is required to participate in the Unified Champion School program. Schools must provide administration contact. Administration is responsible for supporting staff liaisons and student leaders in Unified Champion School activities.
SONC will provide further information as to the expectations of the staff liaison and student leaders within each school that the local school liaison chair will be responsible for establishing and maintaining.
