The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is a 30 acre public park, greenspace, and collection of native habitats with a focus on sharing nature with visitors and students alike.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us further our mission by building and maintaining structures around the Preserve, specifically related to our educational programming. Raised beds for gardening, a small children's stage, and improvements to our wildlife blind are just a few examples of projects we could use help with.

We have some tools available but depending on the job, it would be great if some tools could be provided by the volunteer.

We are willing to work with all scheduling and availability.

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization which manages a 30-acre greenspace located in north Atlanta in partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks Department. The Preserve was founded in 2000 with the vision of being a haven for nature in an urban environment. Our mission is to create a personal experience in nature for everyone through engagement, preservation, education, research and advocacy.
