If you love helping people find that perfect thrift-store treasure, or you want a chance to give back to your community while gaining some great retail experience, help us on the sales floor at one of our ten upscale thrift shops!

We are looking for dynamic and friendly people to run the register and back counter, assist in the fitting rooms, refill and straighten up racks, and help the staff with a wide variety of projects.

Qualified volunteers possess the ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with staff, customers, and other volunteers. You should also have a passion for good organization and a willingness to take on new challenges!

We have stores in Brooklyn Heights, Tribeca, SoHo, the West Village, Gramercy, Chelsea, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Yorkville, and a new location in Hell's Kitchen. Check out http://www.housingworks.org/locations/category/thrift-shops/ for addresses.

Apply online at http://www.housingworks.org/volunteer.
