Mission Statement
The Dori Slosberg Foundation is a non-governmental, not for profit, public service organization dedicated to traffic safety. Too many families lose loved ones in roadway accidents that could have been prevented. No one involved in a fatal car accident wakes up in the morning imagining it will be the last day they take their dog for a walk, kiss their child goodbye, or tell their mother "I love you". We at the Dori Slosberg Foundation strive to protect the beautiful moments in life by bringing driving safety awareness to our communities, our children, and our neighbors that no one die a needless and regrettable death on our roads.
Description
The Dori Slosberg Foundation is named in memory of Dori Slosberg the daughter of Florida State Representative Irving "Irv" Slosberg. Dori's life tragically ended when the car she was in crashed while she was unbuckled. She and four other girls were killed in the crash. Maribel Farinas, left a quadriplegic, and Emily Slosberg, Dori’s twin sister, survived. Established in 2004, our foundation received non-profit status in 2005 and is an influential force in reversing the deadly statistics our roadways produce.
