Volunteer Music Librarian Needed - Housecall Providers
ORGANIZATION: Housecall Providers
Please visit the new page to apply.
Housecall Providers is searching for a volunteer to help us bring music to the lives of seniors and others living with dementia and other disabilities via our new music program. This is a great opportunity to improve the quality of life for some of Portland’s most underserved people.
The person filling this volunteer position will organize, track and maintain our growing music collection, create music playlists for individual patients, and interview patients and family members to determine the music preferences of those we serve.
The ideal candidate should be available for 4 to 8 hours on weekdays, have basic office skills, understand digital music technology (iTunes/iPods), have strong organizational abilities, work well with others, be able to represent Housecall Providers positively, and will be knowledgeable about music (especially older music). Most importantly, they must have a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
We offer a warm and inviting atmosphere where your work will be appreciated and respected. Hours are flexible...and the music is great!
