Annalee & Kevin
Embroidery Teacher & Student at San Francisco School of Needlework & Design

We're looking for a regular weekly volunteer to welcome visitors and students into our exciting school. The primary responsibilities are to greet guests, answer the phone, and give tours of our intimate space. During quiet periods there will be a variety of interesting tasks, you may work with our colorful materials, cutting fabric and winding thread for our class kits, support us with office tasks, work with our textile collection or help out in our library. Office-related tasks may include data entry for our library, assisting with mailings, or making labels and helping with our rotating needlework exhibits.

Located on Union Square, this is an opportunity to work with a nonprofit that supports and teaches many techniques of hand embroidery. After a certain number of hours, various volunteer benefits are available. No stitching experience required, however stitching on site is optional and encouraged.
