As a coach, you are truly part of the USYVL team - and part of a coaching team. You are never alone in your tasks. Each site offers support from assistant coaches, site directors, site clinicians, and administrators who are always available to answer questions, and help you.
The local Coaching Clinic is directed by your site clinician, who will provide you with a coaching manual, and a hands-on instructional overview of all the skills being taught throughout the season. Your site clinician will be available all season long to answer any questions you may have as they come up.
The USYVL teaches kids the necessary skills to excel in the sport of volleyball, but the focus remains on participation, cooperation, sportsmanship, and responsibility. USYVL’s emphasis on positive reinforcement coaching, helps build confidence and self-esteem in each young athlete.
We also welcome high school students! Students who volunteer with USYVL can receive up to 40 community service hours. Volunteering as an assistant coach for USYVL is a great way to fulfill high school requirements or community service hours that students may need to complete.
Practices begin Wednesday April 11, 2018 (6:00 PM-7:00 PM) and will continue to meet every Wednesday (6 PM-7 PM) and Saturday 9 AM- 10 AM until June 2, 2018.

Mission Statement
The United States Youth Volleyball League's mission is to provide every child between the ages of 7 to 16 a chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, supervised environment. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage children to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each child. While the program teaches children the skills necessary to excel in the sport of volleyball, the focus remains on participation, cooperation, sportsmanship, responsibility, and, of course, fun!
Description
The United States Youth Volleyball League is a non-profit youth sports organization that helps communities set-up and run community-based volleyball programs for boys and girls ages 7 - 16. Established in 1997 and similarly structured like AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) insomuch as each program depends on volunteer participation to fill volunteer positions such as Site Director, Clinician (Volleyball Instructor), Registration, First Aid, Coach and Assistant Coach. We run over 200 programs every year and service over 10,000 children every year.
