Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance-Solon Chapter is a local affiliated chapter of a national peer-led mental health support organization, based in Chicago. We provide support groups, speakers, education, advocacy, and connection to resources for those living with mood disorders as well as their friends and family. We are looking to expand our Board of Directors in order to grow our 501(c)(3) organization. We need people who are committed to providing support to those with mental health disorders, are connected in the greater Cleveland community, are able to assist with fundraising, grant writing, technology and social media, and finding a permanent location for our organization. The Board meets quarterly, most of the work is done independently with connections via email.

Description
DBSA is led by and created for individuals living with a mood disorder, and that experience informs everything that we do. DBSA’s peer-based, wellness-oriented, and empowering services and resources are available when people need them, where they need them, and how they need to receive them-online 24/7, in local support groups, in audio and video casts, or in printed materials distributed by DBSA, our chapters, and mental health care facilities across America.
