ORGANIZATION: Suncrest Hospice

  • 22 people are interested

Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families in their homes and care facilities. We serve families in Woodland and need compassionate volunteers to visit one or more on a weekly basis.

The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.

As a volunteer, you can choose between many opportunities: the gift of companionship, caring support to the patient by making a social visit, listening to music, reading, birthday celebrations, bringing a trained pet.

Volunteers must be over 18 and are trained in their role with patients, we are required to conduct background checks and Drug and TB testing, at no charge to all volunteers.

Please contact the office at 916-928-0102 for more information or email ssanford@suncrestcare.com
