Meals on Wheels Delivery

Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Volunteer Delivery Support: A volunteer is needed to ride along with one of our drivers and help deliver meals in Seattle. Volunteers arrive at our warehouse in SODO at 9 AM and are typically done by 1 PM. We are looking for volunteers who have either Thursday or Friday availability and are interested in volunteering long term.

Training for the position is provided. Volunteers need to be able to lift 35lbs and navigate stairs. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
