ORGANIZATION: Fandom Forward

he Donor Management Team works to sustain and build the overall HPA donor base in order to fund the organization’s programs. This volunteer position helps to manage and maintain the HPA’s donor database by performing day-to-day tasks as delegated by the Team Leader. Additionally, the Donor Management Team Member performs specific donor communications, including regular donation follow-up, donor solicitations, and other targeted communications as directed. This position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, creativity, trustworthiness and reliability, proficiency with customer relations management software, and an appreciation for nurturing relationships with various levels of the HPA’s constituency.

This position reports to the Donor Management Team Leader. Hours vary with workflow but generally will not exceed five hours per week.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform donation follow-up tasks in NationBuilder, including tagging, membership status updates, and follow-up emails as needed.

  • Ensure donor thank you emails are sent in a timely manner.

  • Monitor and respond to donor messages from the HPA’s donate@ email account, as delegated.

  • Contribute to special donor stewardship projects, as needed.

  • Develop outreach strategy and draft targeted donor emails as assigned.

  • Support the HPA on key fundraising campaigns and perform associated donor imports and follow-up communications.

  • Assist with the creation of annual reports and other important donor communications.

  • Perform other donor management tasks as directed.

  • Delegate tasks to Donor Management Team Members as needed.

  • Attend Development Department meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.

  • Proficient with customer relationship management software (NationBuilder preferred).

  • Proficient with Excel and Google Docs.

  • Availability to perform basic donor management upkeep tasks at least once per week.

  • Consistent follow-through on projects and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Interest in the connection between back-end data and front-end relationship management.

  • Interest in social change and activism.

  • A passion for education, civic engagement, equality, stories, fandom, and social change.

  • Ability to succeed in an unpredictable start-up culture populated with artists and weirdos.
