ORGANIZATION: Willamalane Park and Recreation District

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

This recreation league, a partnership with Springfield Public Schools is open to all kids, regardless of skill level or ability. Seasons are six weeks long and include two weeks of practice before games begin. Volunteers are need to support the coach of each team and share the joy of basketball with youth in our community. We serve a wide range of youth that are at risk in our community. Volunteers help support coaches and aid in mentorship with the youth we serve. Volunteers do not necessarily have to be an expert in basketball, but they must share a passion for sports and youth empowerment.

The season runs from January 16th- March 1st, with volunteer times available Monday- Thursday.
