Seeking two Social Media Coordinators (Communication Team)

Reporting to G2L's Communication Manager, two social media coordinators will manage G2L's social media and websites sites. This role will work closely with our Communication Team as well as with office staff and community partners to expand awareness about our work.

Responsibilities

  • Social media scheduling for community and donor outreach
  • Content development for brand awareness
  • Story development and writing

Qualifications

  • Strong computer & social media skills (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Hootsuite)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Online advertising experience (GoogleAds, Facebook)
  • Desire to approach challenges strategically and creatively
  • Ability to incorporate suggestions and meet deadlines
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful
  • Enjoys engaging a diverse community
  • Committed to Global to Local’s mission

Time Commitment

This position requires a commitment of 3 - 5 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. We offer flexibility in when and how you complete those hours as long as deadlines are met. A majority of the tasks and responsibilities can be done remotely, working online, at a time that is convenient for you. Although this is a volunteer position, we expect a high level of professionalism - we ask that you apply the same level of professionalism that you would at your workplace.

Compensation

This is a volunteer position. There will be no financial compensation.

Global health innovations have had tremendous impacts on fighting disease and improving health around the world. At the same time, health disparities in the United States continue to grow.

Washington State and Seattle are at the forefront of global health, yet King County has some of the worst health disparities in the United States. Could some of the innovations from the world of global health help reduce these disparities here at home?
