What We Do

Distributing food from two locations, the Merrick Food Shelf provides fresh and healthy food to low income residents of St. Paul’s eastside and Maplewood. Utilizing a Client Choice model, participants can shop for their specific needs while satisfying individual, family, and cultural preferences.

*This holiday season we will be hosting two special distributions, and we need your help!

What You Can Do

Merrick is looking for people just like you who want to make a difference in their community!

We need help giving out food to the community on Friday, December 29th from 3-6 pm. There is no experience or training necessary, only a desire to give back. Volunteers may help in one or all of the following ways:
Greeting participants
Guiding participants through stations
Helping carry food to cars
General clean up

*We will have a crew in the building setting up the distribution before this shift starts. If you are interested in helping with that as well, please let us know.
