American Women is a non-profit organization that focuses on STEM advancement for women and girls. At American Women, we strive to empower women and girls across the nation to rise to their full potential with holistic support services that address various needs during the span of a women’s life and career starting as early as elementary school.

Job Summary:

Calling Social Media Activist volunteers. Do you have a social media account? Are you interested in volunteering? Do you want to support women and girls in STEM? American Woman has a simple way for you to provide support for women and girls in STEM using your social media. We are looking for Social Media Activist volunteers to share our content/ news via your social media platforms. Content mainly includes blogs, event promotions and news about the company. This is a great opportunity to make a big impact without investing too much time. This is a remote volunteer position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Share American Women’s mission by spreading STEM advancement for women on their social media pages

-Engage, support, and cultivate awareness for others by using blogs, news and other forms of American Woman Content; Content will be provided to you.

-Update supporters on campaign developments (such as events, donations, etc.)

-Educating others American Women’s purpose and opening people’s minds to new ideas

-Provide others the opportunity to help

Qualifications:

-Has social media accounts that are respectable

-Can commit to minimum of 6 weeks of volunteering

-Willing to share 1 piece of American Woman Content weekly or biweekly

-Responds respectively to both supporters and detractors

-Pays attention to the language used towards audience
