Scholarships for College
Defray the cost of your books with a $500 scholarship for students attending college in the Inland Empire.

Volunteer will keep in contact with the assistants that are in communication with various schools. A data bases of what schools were contacted and the outcome needs to be kept. Listed below is what the assistants are doing.


(Volunteers contact various high schools within the 56 school districts in the Inland Empire to promote advertising of our 2018-2019 scholarship opportunities. 10 districts will be assigned to each volunteer. Contact should be made with the high school counselor or coordinator in charge of scholarships/career/college information. The link for applications and a brief distribution of qualification will be provided to the volunteer. Follow up to assure that the information is posted or distributed will be required. The number of hours vary based on the time required to make contact and verify information. )

Description

JLF provides students with an understanding and awareness of higher math and science, preparation for SAT and college entrance exams, financial aid assistance, life skills and career preparation. Through mentoring, advocacy, workshops, and financial assistance, Julia's Learning Foundation (JLF) empowers students ages 16 to 24 with the tools necessary to attain a college education.
