These Books Need You
Come help us price and sort books for Ohio's biggest second hand book sale.

Use your passion for books to help the Book Fair Foundation! We're always in need of folks to help sort and price our book donations for the annual Dayton Book Fair and also with our online sales on eBay (training provided!).

Your assistance will help us raise money to benefit Dayton-area non-profits and make sure that our books find loving homes. Our beneficiaries for the upcoming 51st Annual Dayton Book Fair in November 2022 will be: Crayons to Classrooms, Five Rivers MetroParks and Hannah's Treasure Chest. This is a great opportunity for the recently retired, students looking to fulfill community service hours and everyone in between!

We’re open for volunteers and donations year-round at the below times:
  • Tuesdays, 10 am-4 pm
  • Wednesdays, 10 am-4 pm
  • Thursdays, 10 am-4 pm
  • Saturdays, 10 am-4 pm

Please feel free to contact us or drop by so we can give you the tour!

Mission Statement

"The mission of the Book Fair Foundation, Inc. is to receive and collect donated books which we resell through an annual book fair and other channels in order to raise money for a variety of charitable interests. In addition, we also redistribute donated books to schools, clinics, nursing homes, soup kitchens, the county jail, and other entities where books are needed."

Description

The Book Fair Foundation collects donations of books, CDs, DVDs, records, puzzles and games year-round which are priced, sorted and packed for our annual sale in November at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Each year we choose three local non-profit groups to share from the proceeds of the sale. We have supported local groups for over five years; we have 45 years of supporting a single charity, for which we raised over two million dollars.
