About Mission Science Workshop
Location:
3750 18th St, San Francisco, CA 94114, US
Mission Statement
The Mission Science Workshop is a bilingual community science center that provides hands-on science enrichment activities to underserved youth from low-income communities, their schools and families. For 25 years, our neighborhood centers have provided informal spaces for children to participate in our experiments, tinkering and construction programs. These programs engage our students’ sense of curiosity and wonder, to create authentic learning experiences.
Description
What We Do
We work with schools, organizations and families in our communities to provide programs that enrich and empower students’ lives through science. We currently partner with over 35 public schools in San Francisco through our Science Enrichment Workshop, Afterschool, Drop-in, Whale Week, and Summer Camp programs. Each day, we can serve anywhere from 70-200 youth, with a yearly impact of approximately 10,000 individuals from across the city.
