Tuesday, January 9: Tell Them We Are Rising: The Story of Black Colleges and Universities
Location: WGBH Studios

Description: Tell Them We Are Rising explores the pivotal role historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) have played over the course of 150 years in American history, culture, and identity. Stanley Nelson's film reveals the rich history of HBCUs and the power of higher education to transform lives and advance civil rights and equality in the face of injustice.

Guests will join us for a screening of the entire 90-minute film, followed by an in-depth discussion with filmmaker Stanley Nelson and a special panel following with screening.

Position/Shifts: Registration using an iPad (5:30-8pm), Food Host (5:30-9:30pm), Greeter (5:45-8pm), Usher/Mic Holder (6:30-9pm), Photographer (5:45-9:30pm)

Home video and podcasts, teaching tools for schools and home-schooling, services for people with hearing or vision impairments...we're always looking for new ways to serve the community!
