Classroom Volunteers - Kindergarten to 5th Grade

We are looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer for multiple days or weekly for any of the following activities. Since there is a little training involved with each one, teachers prefer volunteers sign up for an activity a minimum of 3 times.)

• During center time in Ms. Strommen's Kindergarten class from 3 - 3:30. It is a loosely structured time, but kids always love another adult's attention. Volunteers will play with Kindergarten students in whatever center he/she would like to interact. Activities include reading to/listening to kids read, playing board games with kids, doing art center, building with blocks...
• Listen to kids read with 1st Grade students in Mrs. Kelner's class. 10:30 - 11:30
• Play math games & practice counting with 1st Grade students in Mrs. Kelner's class. 12:30 - 1 or 2:30 - 3
• Practice reading fluency with 3rd Grade students in Mrs. Houle's class. 9:30 - 10:30
• Volunteer with 5th graders. You would play math games with Ms. Miels' classroom. Activities would include adding/subtracting/comparing fractions and decimals, finding mean, median, mode, etc, multiplication/division games..... 9:30 - 10:15 or 2 - 2:45
