About

Help impoverished kids take their first steps up.

ep5 is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation producing educational programming for public television and radio.

Can you sell potential underwriters on the idea of a television/WWW series which will teach knowledge-hungry kids "The Art of Programming"? This series will be aimed at kids and grown-ups alike. Asking nothing more than an interest in software, it will teach avid minds the fundamentals of creating reliable programs in JavaScript, the optimal language for both learning programming and writing real-world applications.

If you can sell this idea to prospective funders, we'd very much like to talk with you. We need someone with proven skills in communication at both the personal and corporate levels. The work entails limited demands upon the applicant's time and can be done from home.

Responsibilities include advising on foundation policy and dealing with prospective sponsors and underwriters. Primary focus will be on establishing relationships with for-profit corporations, universities, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will be someone willing and able to take a genuine interest in the foundation's goals and purpose. Preference will be given to mature applicants experienced in dealing with and relating to others. This is a part-time position.

Please note: ep5 is a small institution, with the informality and flexibility which this connotes.
